R&D Hardware Project/ Program Manager
Overview
Cradlepoint is seeking an experienced R&D project manager with experience managing product development with Asian partners. This will begin as an individual contributor role, but will grow to include management of electrical or mechanical engineers. The ideal candidate enjoys a broad range of responsibilities ranging from strategic to tactical and brings expertise in project management, cross-functional program management and vendor management. Applicant should be familiar with electronics and product design and issues commonly encountered.
Responsibilities
- R&D hardware (EE and ME) project management
- Key liaison to Asian design/manufacturing partner (CDM)
- Cross-functional program management for all NPI related activities
- Technical issue tracking and resolution
- Host weekly conference call with CDM
- Create/maintain detailed MS Project schedules
- Weekly status updates
- Manage indirect (or directly) reporting electrical and mechanical engineers
- Contribute to new product ideation, design innovation and roadmapping
Qualifications
- Experience with routers, switches and Access Points
- Experience in meeting performance, schedule and cost goals
- Experience with cross-functional issues impacting R&D efficiency and TTM
- Enjoy tracking industry technology trends
- Enjoy future planning and forward thinking
- BSEE, BSCE or equivalent engineering degree
