Why we changed
To Simplify
On our previous site we had the ability to login with SSO (single sign-on) to PMI site and it would log you into our site for registrations. This ended up causing more confusion than it provided value. The SSO functionality was intermittent as PMI.org was changing their login system to improve the user experience.
Over the last two years, PMI.org has made a very concentrated effort to improve the user system and the items that it can offer to it’s users. They have acquired Projectmanagement.com and if you haven’t had a chance to check that out yet, you should.
To Focus on more interactions
We realize that connecting with our members and potential members is important. By switching to a simplified system, we can spend more time creating those connections with you. We want to hear from you, so if you have something that you’d like to share, let us know.
What’s new
New Event Registration
We are using an event management service called Yapsody, you can find all our events and register at https://pmiwic.yapsody.com/. When you register you will get a confirmation e-mail sent that will include a barcode, we will be able to scan this bar code to check you in at the event. Of course, don’t worry, if you don’t, that’s ok we can still check you in.
New Emails
Emails from PMIWC have already started to look different. With the change the new system, we had to select a new email/newsletter. The new service allows for better looking emails on all your different devices, whether you’re looking at them at work on your computer or on your mobile.
