Scrum Master / Product Owner

A ScrumMaster opportunity on a full-time basis is available on behalf of our client in the Boise, ID area. The ideal candidate will work with all project stakeholders to understand priorities for products, IT initiatives, group backlog and technical debt and how those priorities impact deliverable and dates.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a facilitator for a software development team by organizing Standup meetings, enforcing timelines, and facilitating discussions that lead to effective decision-making and conflict resolution
  • Guide team application of Agile/Scrum/Kanban Best Practices and values while maintaining and growing team dynamic
  • Collaborate to establish understanding of shared responsibility and deliverables
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments, technical or organizational, by finding the right personnel for each situation
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on process improvement and problem-solving
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information
  • Work with and educate Product Managers and System Analysts on grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Work with all project stakeholders to understand priorities for products, IT initiatives, group backlog and technical debt and how those priorities impact deliverables and dates
  • Create team performance metrics that are consistent with those of the overall IT initiatives and maintain transparency into the teams work through those metrics
  • Collaborate with other IT Scrum Masters to develop a best-in-class scaled Agile team that serves all of our IT and business partners
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
  • Work effectively as part of a software development team, foster team cooperation
  • Stay current with rapidly changing technology and apply to business needs
  • Continually learn new tools and techniques to manage tasks and team
    Must be a high-energy enthusiastic team member
  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules as outlined by the Company
  • Work 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience working with various engineering disciplines and dispersed teams, delivering to a strategy via incremental releases with a blend of business and technical knowledge
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) a plus
