Future City Projects – Judges Needed!

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Future City Judges Needed!  Future City Competition is a program of Discover E for 6th-8th graders, where teams of students design and present their vision of what a city of the future should look like. They also build a model of their city, write an essay on a designated topic, and present the whole package to a panel of judges.

  • This year marks the 14th Idaho Future City Regional Competition to be held Saturday, January 20th at Boise State University.  The theme this year is The Age-Friendly City.  We are looking for technical professionals to help evaluate the virtual city design presentations, city essay, city model, and city presentations.
  • The virtual city and city description can be judged from the comfort of your home in late December through mid-January with a time commitment of approximately 4-6 hours. The city model and city presentations are judged at the Idaho Regional Competition at Boise State University on January 20 with a time commitment of approximately 4 hours.
  • A new requirement for all Future City volunteers is a background check must be completed prior to the event. I would like to thank you in advance for your patience with this new process.
