Get on Board…with PMI’s Western Idaho Chapter!

The following Board positions are coming open in May:
  • VP of Programs:  Think “event planning” for this position.  The Programs VP plans and schedules the monthly dinner and networking meetings held on the fourth Wednesday of each month (sans July and August).  This includes booking the venues, and with Board members’ assistance, garnering speakers and overseeing presentations.

  • VP of Membership:  Think “onboarding” for this position.  The Membership VP welcomes new members, reports member certifications and membership counts based on stats provided by PMI for our chapter. The VP of Membership also ensures members who pass their PMP exam are awarded a free dinner.  Nice!

  • VP of Finance:  Think “treasurer” for this position.  The Finance VP does some heavy lifting in terms of overseeing the management of funds for duly authorized purposes of the PMIWIC Board. This position must follow stipulations of chapter bylaws, and of state and federal non-profit regulations.
Due to recent unforeseen circumstances, we are also looking for a candidate in the May 2018 election to fill the VP of Professional Development Board position for the 1-year balance of its current 2-year term. This elected position would be for 1 year, and would be up for re-election again next year (in 2019) for the normal 2-year term.  If interested in this PMI Western Idaho Board position for the 1 year balance of the current term, please contact Bryan Butler at Past_President@pmiwic.org.

  • VP of Professional Development:  Think “education” for this position. The Vice President for Professional Development manages the distribution of information regarding education and certifications in project management, as well as planning, coordinating, and providing training opportunities offered by the chapter such as PMP and PMI-ACP Certification Boot Camps, PMIef (PMI Educational Foundation) K-12 STEM activities, and other educational events.

Facts you should know… these Board positions are 2-year terms…candidates must be current members of the Western Idaho Chapter.

Are you a Past or Present PMI Chapter Board Member? Then, this opportunity is just for you!

The President Elect position is also coming open in May:

  • President Elect:  This position assists the president with the duties of managing the chapter and assumes the role of the chapter president if the president is unable to perform duties for any reason. At the end of the 1-year term, this position automatically transitions to the President position for one year, and finally transitions into the Past President position for one year.

Facts you should know… you must be a past or current PMI Chapter Board member to hold the President Elect position…this position is essentially a 3-year commitment.
