Nothing changes…if nothing changes.  So, change is good!

Did you know the Project Management Institute is the world’s leading project management organization with over 500,000 Global Members and over 300 Local Chapters internationally, and that PMI just celebrated its 50th year?!

Well, while we were celebrating that major milestone, PMI was looking ahead to the next 50 years – by becoming more member-centric and future-focused with changes to branding, messaging and value to members!   Why change?  We needed a new language to help us define and lead The Project Economy, which focuses on these values: collaboration, determination, change, innovation, teamwork, outcomes, growth, vision, and community.  Each value is represented by a symbol and a color, in total there are nine new symbols.  These symbols and new brand colors represent fresh ideas, and energize communications.

For more information about these changes, we invite you to explore the following discussion facilitated by PMI President and CEO, Sunil Prashara: Straight Talk on Leadership and Governance – Episode 4

Plus, if you have not already reviewed “Pulse of the Profession”, it is a thought-provoking and valuable report of staying ahead of the curve: PMI Thought Leadership’s Pulse of Profession 2020

In Western Idaho, we value our over 600 members, and we add value to our members through our many networking and education events, and professional development opportunities. I hope to see you at upcoming events!

Thank you for being a vital part of our Western Idaho team!

Best,

Vicky Smith, PMIWIC President – Proud Member Since 2011
