2024 Apr 10 Lunch and Learn – The Interpersonal Side of Project Management

April 10 @ 12:00 PM 1:00 PM MDT

The Interpersonal Side of Project Management: Personal Core Values and How to Effectively Use Them

Presented by Lysa Beltz, PMP, Information Security Program Manager, Lamb Weston

As Program and Project Managers, we accomplish work for, with and through people. Rarely do we implement technology just for technology’s sake. It is imperative to understand ourselves and how we best interact with the people around us. Knowing your core values – what they are and why we care about them, is one way to increase our interpersonal effectiveness. What used to be called ‘soft skills’ are now referred to as Power Skills because they are the differentiator between being a good project manager and being a great one. Our goal with project management as a practice is to always find ways to be more effective, efficient and increase the value we bring to our organization.

Learning Areas:
  • Understand what a personal core value is, why we care about them and how to implement them in our daily lives.
  • How personal core value intersect with our companies core values.
  • Provide a template and instructions for completing your personal Core Value Worksheet.

You can claim 1.0 PDU for this Lunch and Learn. Lunch and Learn topics align with any/all of the PMI Talent Triangle® components (Business Acumen, Power Skills, Ways of Working)
