Championing Change

Presented by Kristina Palmer, PMP, ACP, CSM, Technology Program Manager, Lamb Weston, Inc.

As project managers, we are a key element to the success rate and adoption of our projects. There are varying levels of organizational change management and leadership support when it comes to ensuring change is successfully implemented across an organization.

Kristina will provide an overview of setting a vision and leading change as authored by John Kotter in his book “Leading Change”. And, she will further help explain how his framework ties into our roles as project managers.

Learning Areas:

3 Key Takeaways:

  • Understanding what creates change to be successful or a failure in organization
  • Applying PM responsibilities to leading change from a soft skills perspective
  • General understanding of Kotter’s framework to lead change and how the PM fits into this framework.

You can claim 1.0 PDU for this Lunch and Learn. Lunch and Learn topics align with any/all of the PMI Talent Triangle® components (Business Acumen, Power Skills, Ways of Working)
