Education Learning type activities that allow you to broaden your knowledge in one of the PMI Talent Triangle skill areas: Ways of Working, Power Skills, or Business Acumen.

Giving Back Volunteer type activities that enable you to share and apply your knowledge and skills as a means to contribute to and help build the profession. Power Skills, Business Acumen or Ways of Working could apply.

Education (Learning PDUs)

ProjectBites Learning Library

ProjectBites audio/video learning bites can be reported as Education under the category of Online or Digital Media. It recommended to listen/watch three ProjectBites to accumulate 1.0 PDU for reporting purposes. Click here for PDU reporting instructions.

Lunch and Learn Virtual Events

All of the Lunch and Learn events can be reported as Education under the category of Course or Training. PDU reporting instructions are provided directly to attendees. Evening Events

All of the evening events, whether they are Speaker or Networking events provide PDUs that can be reported as Education under the category of Organization Meetings for up to 2.0 PDUs per event/activity. PDU reporting instructions are provided directly to attendees. Giving Back (Volunteer PDUs)

Mentorship Program

Participating as a Mentor in the chapter’s Mentorship Program qualifies for Giving Back PDUs under the category of Share Knowledge, because as a mentor you are helping others to learn and grow as PMI professionals. PDU reporting instructions are provided directly to participants.

Chapter Event Speakers

Preparing for and participating as a volunteer speaker at Lunch and Learn events, and evening events, qualifies for Giving Back PDUs under the category of Give a Presentation because your preparation and presentation efforts helps others to learn and grow professionally as project/program/portfolio managers. PDU reporting instructions are provided directly to participants. To be a volunteer speaker, contact our vp_communications@pmiwic.org to engage with the respective event coordinators (Lunch and Learn Coordinator, VP of Programs)

Team PMIWIC Volunteer Events

Team PMIWIC volunteer events like the annual Future City Competition for the Best Project Plan special award or the quarterly Idaho Foodbank warehouse events qualify for Giving Back PDUs under the category of Volunteer, because the event, based on its Supply Chain Management, Risk Management, Time Management and Resource Management, etc. aspects can relate to an individual’s certification, and it does contribute to advancing knowledge or practice within the profession. PDU reporting instructions are provided directly to attendees.

Team PMIWIC Community Volunteer Events – No PDUs

Community volunteer events like the annual November Rake Up Boise event, do not meet the reporting criteria. To qualify for a Giving Back PDU under the category of Volunteer, the event or activity must relate to an individual’s certification, and it must contribute to advancing knowledge or practice within the profession.
